Questions

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to give my name or contact details to see quotes?

No. Just your gender, birthday, general health, tobacco use, coverage amount and how many years—six pieces of information. That's enough for the carriers to send you rates. Your name, address and medical history only come into play if you choose to apply.

Are the monthly prices shown the price I will pay?

These are the rates carriers quoted for the health level you picked. After underwriting, the carrier sets your actual premium and might confirm your class, move you up, or change it. Nothing here is a promise or a guaranteed price.

What happens when I click Apply?

You enter your name, and the application springs from the exact quote you chose. From there it moves to the carriers' secure platform. You can pause it and come back, and everything is signed digitally. Susman Insurance Agency, licensed in California (License 0B75129), handles the process.

Will I need a medical exam?

It depends on which carrier, how much coverage, and your health answers. Carriers offering accelerated underwriting can decide in days for qualifying people; each quote tells you if that carrier needs an exam, might ask for one, or skips it.

Is a longer term better?

A term should span the years when your family would struggle if you died: a mortgage to pay, kids at home, a business loan outstanding. Longer terms raise the monthly cost but freeze the rate for that entire stretch. The quote tool lets you stack 10, 15, 20, 25 and 30 years next to each other.

Does this site sell my information?

No. The quote tool doesn't ask for contact information, we don't sell or share what visitors do, and we measure traffic without cookies. Read the privacy page for a full list of what we collect and who touches it.
